Why did you start your homeschooling blog?
When I was younger I used to journal as a creative outlet. Blogging is just that. I like the idea of sharing our experiences with others. I also like hearing back from other homeschooling families; their perspective.
What do you cover in your homeschooling blog?
I blog almost every day, unless we're having a busy week. I blog about homeschooling, parenting, recipes, gardening, random thoughts and feelings about things... I don't get really personal about things. I would never place my loved ones in a negative light. Sometimes I post pictures and sometimes I don't, depending if my camera is within reach at that moment or if I just want to enjoy the moment and not capture it.
Advice
- Do it! It's such a good release. There are blogs out there about everything from every kind of person. Many seem to flock together, though. It can be very soothing and natural to share your thoughts and life with others.
- I have friends who blog and I think we inspire one another. I tend to notice if one of us posts, then the rest are inspired to get on it and post. It keeps us sane.
