Snack Mix

Nearly one-fifth of all wheat grown in the United States is grown in Kansas. This is why it is called the "Wheat State" and "Breadbasket of the World."

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hours,

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex
  • 2 cups Cheerios
  • 1 1/2 cups roasted sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter or margarine in saucepan. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and sugar. In a baking pan, mix the Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, Cheerios, sunflower seeds and pretzels. Drizzle the butter mixture over the cereal mixture. Stir to coat evenly. Bake for 1 hour, stirring frequently. Spread on paper toweling to cool. Store in airtight container.
