Summer Learning Fun - Fine Arts Ideas
Ideas to keep the kids busy and learning during the summer.

Taking a break from homeschooling? ...that doesn't mean the learning has to stop!

Summer is a great time for fine arts. It's hard to get to art projects during the school year, so why not during the summer? Craft projects are fun and you can include their friends in on the fun.

Here are some ideas that you might try. I will be adding to this list all summer, so keep checking back.

  • Bath Buddies
    Bath time can be fun with soap-on-a-rope the kids make themselves!
  • Decorate a Flowerpot
    Have some fun this season by adding a personal touch to your outdoor flowerpots.

  • Fork Wind Chimes
    Recycle old forks into a wind chime. This project is from the Baby Sitters Club Movie.
  • Garden Stepping Stone
    These easy-to-make Stepping Stones are a nice addition to any garden. They also make great gifts.
  • Natural Sand Art
    An easy technique and inexpensive supplies give great results with this summer favorite.
  • Paperweight Fun
    Keep those napkins from blowing away at summer picnics with these fun and easy to make paperweights.
  • Salty 'Sandscape' in a Jar
    Create a beach scene at sunset with these items you probably already have in the house.
  • Summer Crafts
    Using only a printer and things from around the house, your kids can make this cute summer crafts.
