Guide Review - Quotes with Character
Quotes with Character was compiled by Derri Smith to provide a handwriting exercise for her children that also filled their minds with good things. The quotes give the child a storehouse of wisdom to draw on for a lifetime. The quotes are from many sources, including: Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Dwight L. Moody, Jim Elliot, Helen Keller, Abigail Adams, Corrie Ten Boom, Abraham Lincoln, John Wesley, Galileo, William Butler Yeats, Shakespeare.
Writing the quotes daily not only provides handwriting practice, but also increases skills in spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation. Rather it be by dictation, copying, or from memory, writing the dialy quote is a good exercise.
Although the book stands alone, it is a companion to "Conversation with Character."
