Graduation from 6th grade and 8th grade marks the beginning of junior high or high school. It's an exciting time for your student and one he or she has probably been looking forward to. How do you recognize the importance of this milestone and make the promotion memorable for your child and family?
8th Grade Graduation and Ceremony
- My son is graduating from the 8th grade and his friend has recently graduated from 12th grade. I am having an 8th grade graduation ceremony for my son and a graduation party for both my son and his friend. Ours is not until later in June. I invited about 30 guests and will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill with side dishes like potato salad and mac salad. We will have the graduation cake as desert. I plan on a nice ceremony for my son highlighting what my son has accomplished so far and what he wants to accomplish in High School. I have some decorations and a memory board made. My son's homeschooling colors are purple and black and he will be wearing a purple graduation cap with a black tassel, purple shirt and black dress pants, no graduation gown. His friend will wear his cap and gown that he wore at his own graduation. It should be fun and interesting. I have a lot of work to do but it will be all worth it!! I can't wait!
