How to Tell Time

I started with telling the children to observe the numbers which are up to 12. After doing the greater number, remember the long hand always points to the bigger number and the short hand always points to the time. Asked for example three o' clock means long hand on 12 and short hand on 3 . This way they learn the time from 1 o'clock to 12 o'clock. Then show them by folding a paper plate that it is half; similarly, the clock shows half past time after doing jumps of five the long hand shows half past when it is on 6. Now for example when it is half past three. The long hand will be on 6 and the short hand between 3 and 4, we take the first number that is 3. For a five year old this much is more than enough.
