Area and perimeter
- Here are 2 ways we used area and perimeter in our real lives this year. How much fencing will we need to fence our property, and how many 12x12 tiles will we need to re-do the kitchen floor.

Innovative teacher
- Let the kids use a daily situation that needs a solution. Then give the instructions and let the learners do it groups while you watch them do the exercise. When they are successful, provide related tasks for them while you monitor their performance. Example: "During the last USA presidential campaigns, Obama was to enter the White house. If he was to change the interior design of the White House, you need to determine the area of the floor. But for you to apply for the contract, you need to know how to determine the area of the floor. Start by measuring the area of your classroom. Here the teacher has to provide a tape measure and let them measure the length and width in meters squared, or use the number of tiles that make the floor of the classroom if it has some. Once you find that the students have done the experiment correctly, allow them to construct an application letter to Obama for the Job. Mark this letter and ensure the correct grammar and let them e-mail to you.
