Field Trip Description

My son is eleven. He attended the Living History Workshop. He worked in the Grits mill, Saw Mill and the farming. The adults were so amazing with the kids. He rode in a buggy ride, pulled weeds out of the garden, drew water out of the old well. He learned how to cut a log with a two man saw. Everyone there was dressed up too. He attended school in the old school house. He was so amazed. They have homeschool days in April and December. The kids loved it. He also made grits and bagged them up to sell.

Highlights

My son truly had a amazing time. He has told everyone about his trip. He could not pick a favorite thing because he loved it all. The adults was so amazing to the kids. It really is worth going to attend the workshops.
