Support Group Vision / Mission Statement
Single Parent Home Educator's of America is the supportive arm of single parents who teach their own children at home.
We believe that it is the right of the single parent to choose the mode and educational methods best for their children, and family; that the educating of one’s children is a parental responsibility first and foremost, meaning that if they are not learning, not being challenged enough, not being adequately taught, not able to pursue interests, not able to learn of the ways of morality, and family faith traditions, then the parent should and must take action to correct this condition, even if it means they must do the job themselves; we thoroughly support and encourage networking, co-oping, resource sharing, among all homeschoolers, especially those who are single and home-schooling their children;
we thoroughly believe, support, encourage and are strong advocates of parental choice, without excessive governmental control, or interference;
we are advocates and highly supportive of those who work at the local, state or national level with respect to the educating of our children within the legislative system to continue to do battle for the rights on the behalf of all homeschoolers in the U.S.
