Introduction / Welcome Message

We are a homeschool group in the Gilbert, AZ area that welcomes homeschooling families with preschool and early elementary aged children that share a vision for building a close-nit family cooperative through fun activities and enrichment opportunities that will cultivate connections for a lifetime.

Support Group Demographic

APPHLES welcomes all styles of homeschooling and families from a variety of backgrounds in Gilbert and the surrounding area. We welcome homeschool families with at least one child between the ages of 4-7 that have been searching for a group with a high level of commitment and participation from all its member families. We are a group of peers with a goal and commitment to nurture wonderful experiences, relationships and support for our children and our families throughout our homeschooling years.

Support Group Vision / Mission Statement

Our group involves a high level of commitment and participation from all its members to plan and host weekly activities that would foster our children's curiosity, promote learning in a group environment, and cultivate relationships and connections to last a lifetime. Activities include park days and play-dates one week and then a more structured learning activity, co-op class or field trip the following week. We would also plan mom/parent nights out and planning sessions to coordinate our activities.

The foundation of this group begins with a very strong close-nit community of women that are tolerant, approachable, mature and open to the idea that our differences can make us stronger. This is a gracious, honest, supportive environment where communication is key.

Advice

  • One of the best things a homeschooling family can have is a close relationship with other homeschooling families. That is something APPHLES hopes to accomplish in the area it serves.
