• 2 blue M&Ms
• 1 piece red shoestring licorice
• 1 orange gumdrop
• New snorkel and diving mask, washed with soap and water

• Manatee body part sheet
• Paper lunch bag
• Scissors
• Clear tape
• Markers or crayons
• Imagination

Plastic sheeting 3 to 4mm thick (3 ft wide and at least 22 ft long)

Plastic tubing or plastic edging (roughly 1" diameter) - Available in gardening or plumbing sections of building supply stores.

Straight edge (to be used only by an adult)

Small electric fan Manatees and Their Homes

• white construction paper manatee - use manatee outline, enlarge and copy on white construction paper
• one 12"x18" sheet of white construction paper
• several strips of blue and green tissue paper
• two paint brushes
• cup of paintwash (1 part black paint to 5 parts water)
• cup of gluewash (1 part glue to 3 parts water)
