Even though they spend large amounts of their lives underwater, sea turtles are air-breathing reptiles and must surface at regular intervals to refill their lungs with fresh air.

    Turtle in the Sea by Jim Arnosky is the story of a sea turtle and what she must battle to stay alive so she can lay her eggs.

  • What is a Sea Turtle?
    In the United Kingdom aquatic fresh-water turtles are known as terrapins.

    There are quite a few crafts for this lesson. Do all of them or choose the ones you like best.

  • Sea Turtle Recipes
    Cooking with Kids - Try these yummy recipes: Peanut Butter Turtles, Turtle Sundae, and Sea Turtle Bread Sculpture.

    Add the printable activities to your notebook. Have fun with the online games and activities.
