American Girl is tops in my book. The age-appropriate magazine is designed to "affirm self-esteem, celebrate achievements, and foster creativity" in girls of today. My daughter always read them cover to cover.
2. Discovery Girls Magazine

Discovery Girls gives girls ages 7 to 12 the advice, encouragement, and inspiration they need to navigate those difficult preteen years. Created by girls for girls, Discovery Girls is a forum for girls to help each other with tough issues like being rejected, not fitting in, and feeling pressured to be perfect. Plus, every issue is packed with fun - quizzes, contests, embarrassing moments, fashion, and lots more.
3. Hopscotch for Girls

Hopscotch for Girls is a bimonthly magazine for girls ages 6-12. Each issue is packed with stories, cartoons, jokes and riddles. For hands-on fun, there are craft projects, cooking projects, science experiments and math puzzlers. Other exciting columns include collecting, poetry, pen pals, contests and more. There is no advertising or nothing about fashion, fads, boyfriends or teen issues in the magazines.
