1. Was it the vinegar or the diet coke which caused the color change?
Answer: The diet coke made it change color.
2. Why is it the color change did not occur throughout the entire apple slice, only near the unpeeled surfaces?
Answer: It did go all the way though the apple, and it was very soft (and smelly in mom's opinion).
3. Can Noah figure out what he might do (as an experiment) which would help him to answer of the questions above? (I bet he can!)
Answer: He observed all of these as he did the experiment, we did leave it in the jar for a week and a day. It was in the sun and unattended. We just sort of forgot about it.
