My Nature Journal is more than just a journal, it's a personal nature guide for young people. It is jam-packed with activities, information and inspiration. The journal offers three types of activities. The 'Discovery' activities spark children's curiosity and encourages children to explore the world around them. The 'Understanding Nature' activities teach basic ecological principles and helps children understand that everything in nature is important. Children are inspired to express their feelings as they write about their thoughts and experiences in the 'Reflective' activities. My Nature Journal covers five natural worlds: Woodlands, Meadows, Ponds and Streams, Seashore and Twilight. Students will bring their journal with them on the outings and do the activities and record their discoveries while in the natural surroundings. There are safety tips and instructions on preserving and respecting the natural world.
