I have a teenager, and a 7 yo. I also work a split shift M-F., and am home between 9 and 12:30 each day. Since my husband works at night, the boys stay up later, and sleep in a bit.
More Homeschooling Quick Tips
The 7 yo gets up around 9:30, eats, dresses, etc. Starts chores and schoolwork around 10:30, and is finished by 12:30 -1. The teenager gets up around 10:30, and is very slow to get moving. ;o) He typically begins his work around noon, and finishes up around 3:30 or 4.
They both have timers, and "do" 30 minutes of school, 15 minutes of chores and get a 15 minute break, each hour. They loosely stick to that cycle 'til they have finished it all.
