  • Map Adventures - Map Adventures, with seven accompanying lessons, is appropriate for grades K-3. Students will learn basic concepts for visualizing objects from different perspectives and how to understand and use maps.

  • Maps and Mapping - Whether to get across town or across the world, maps are crucial for navigation. They can help us discover the distances between objects and their relative orientation to one another.

  • How Far? - A worksheet which develops children's understanding of map work and measuring distances.
  • Read a Map of the U.S. - Follow the directions on this worksheet to practice map reading skills and learn about oceans. (You have to register to use this site, but it's free and easy.)
