WriteShop is a complete writing curriculum that gives students the skills they need to produce excellent written work that they enjoy writing. Well laid out lesson plans, with step by step instructions, lead students down a learning path with ease and simplicity. WriteShop is written to the student without talking down to them, empowering them to take responsibility for their own work. Students edit their writing, using a simple form, freeing the teacher to play the role of coach and encourager. Each lesson is scheduled out to be covered over two weeks, giving just the right amount of time between assignments.
Parents and teachers will enjoy getting in on the action during the pre-writing activities and practice paragraph, giving them an involved perspective of what is required in each lesson. The teacher’s manual gives detailed instructions, tips on weaknesses to watch out for and even grading forms for each step in the writing process.
