Ice Cream Sundae
Fun in the Kitchen - Wisconsin

The ice cream sundae is said to have been invented in 1881 when Ed Berners of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, decided to make a special dish to sell in his store.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Ice Cream
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chopped Nuts
  • Cherry

Preparation:

  1. Wash hands.
  2. Scoop desired amount of ice cream into a bowl.
  3. Pour chocolate syrup over ice cream.
  4. Top with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry.
Variations:
  • Try different sauces: Strawberry, caramel
  • Try different flavors of ice cream: Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry
  • Try different types of nuts: Spanish peanuts, sliced almonds
  • Add sliced fruits: Bananas, strawberries
