South Carolina Apple Crisp

Try this recipe for South Carolina Apple Crisp...yummy!

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • # 4 Large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 3/4 cup, plus 1 Tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup, plus 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter (cut into 1" pieces)

Preparation:

  1. Toss together: Apples, 1 Tbsp flour and 1 Tbsp sugar in a large bowl. Place mixture in in a greased 9" x 9" pan.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
  3. Sift 1/2 cup sugar; sift 3/4 cup flour; combine the two.
  4. Cut in butter, one piece at a time to create a crumbly mixture.
  5. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
