Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 cups milk
- Baked pie crust
- For Meringue:
- 2 egg whites
- pinch salt
- 2 Tbsp confectioner's sugar
- Dash vanilla
Preparation:
Put brown sugar and butter in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until melted. Add flour, salt, egg yolks and milk. Cook in double boiler until thick. Pour into baked pie crust.
Prepare Meringue:
Beat all ingredients together with mixer until soft peaks form. Top pie with meringue and bake in oven until meringue turns light brown.
