Finger Knit Scarves

By , About.com Guide

As a work-at-home-mom that homeschools, the kids (8 & 11 yo) love to help out. When searching out a way to earn some money in my day spa, they picked their favorite art activity of finger knitting. Since then, they have made numerous scarves...some of them measuring over twelve feet long! I taught finger knitting as an art elective at our local homeschool co-op and the kids really caught on quickly. Not only are they learning to create something beautiful, they are also learning basic business skills which will serve them later in life.
