A fire extinguisher is a manually operated device for extinguishing small fires. Know where the fire extinguishers are and know how to use them using the PASS method:
- Pull the safety pin
- Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire, from a safe distance
- Squeeze the handle slowly and evenly
- Sweep the nozzle from side-to-side aiming at the base
