The Spirit of St. Louis Completed
Charles Lindbergh's airplane, the "Spirit of St. Louis" was completed on April 29, 1927. It was named to honor the supporters in St. Louis, Missouri.

James Cook lands at Botany Bay
On April 29, 1770, Captain James Cook first landed the Endeavour, at Botany Bay, Australia. Originally, it was called Sting Ray Harbour because of the stingrays they caught there.
