Wilbur Wright's Birthday
Wilbur Wright was born on April 16, 1867 near Millville, Indiana. Of course, we all know that he and his brother Orville Wright invented the airplane. They attribute the interest in flying to a toy "helicopter" that their father once brought home to them.

Isaac Newton Knighted
English mathematician and physicist Isaac Newton was knighted and became "Sir Isaac Newton" on April 16, 1705 by Queen Anne during a royal visit to Trinity College. Newton is best known for his law of gravity and three laws of motion.

National Eggs Benedict Day
April 16th is National Eggs Benedict Day. Eggs Benedict is made with a toasted English muffin topped with ham, a poached egg and Hollandaise sauce.
