Organization Tips from Homeschoolers

Home Decor Catalogues (from Adele)

By Beverly Hernandez, About.com

Decorating our home has become a hobby & challenge of mine. How exactly do you decorate your home (or at least give it a pleasant appearance) in homeschooling style? I want our home to look nice since I'm in it all day, but I want it to be practical and comfortable for our lifestyle too. Try paging through some home decor catalogues - especially the "end of season clearance ones"! I found a wooden table-top vertical file & mini drawer unit. It's perfect for holding the files of kids' work and files of ideas/notes for myself. The drawers hold things I don't want the kids to get into like stapler, postage, etc. There's a little divided section on top for holding rubber bands, paperclips, etc. Even if you don't want to spend the money, you can still get some great ideas for storage, and if you're creative, you can build your own storage pieces (make it a homeshooling project).
