William Henry Harrison (February 9, 1773 – April 4, 1841) was the 9th President of the United States. William Harrison was a soldier during the Indian wars of the 1790s and a general in the War of 1812. His victory at Tippecanoe Creek earned him fame and the nickname Old Tippecanoe. His campaign slogan was “Tippecanoe and Tyler, Too.” President Harrison died of pneumonia on April 4, 1841, after just one month in office.
