Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 – June 5, 2004) was the 40th President of the United States and the 33rd Governor of California and an actor appearing in over 50 movies. Ronald Reagan was the oldest president ever elected. Ronald Reagan was shot by an assassin on March 30, 1981, but recovered quickly. Ronald Reagan was president during the longest period of peacetime prosperity without recession or depression. He renewed self-confidence, stimulated economic growth, curbed inflation, increased employment and national defense.
