Guide Review - V.Smile TV Learning System

The vtech V.Smile TV Learning System is the first video game system created for the younger child - ages 3 to 7. The system comes with the Alphabet Park Adventure game cartridge. Children will learn letters, phonics, vocabulary, spelling, colors and shapes as they explore Alphabet Park and help Grandpa save the park by bringing back the power rings. The system and joystick is bright and colorful, and easy for young hands to handle. The joystick has a large enter button, and four color-coded buttons used to choose answers in certain activities.

The V.Smile 'Smartridge' library is organized into three educational levels: Early Learners (ages 3-5) - teaches letters, phonics, colors, numbers, music and shapes; Junior Thinkers (ages 4-6) - teaches vocabulary, logic, math, phonics, telling time, and music; Master Minds (ages 5-7) - teaches vocabulary, problem solving, geography, spelling, master math, art and creativity.

The games have two different game levels that allow the children to advance in the curriculum as they progress. I was impressed by the quality of the games and the simplicity of the system. The peaceful atmosphere in the games was very refreshing.
