"Piggie Pie!"
(compare
prices)
by Margie Palatini
My children are 2 and 5 and they got such a laugh out of this book. The pictures are wonderful, the story is so unlike anything else it just keeps us smiling all through the book. It is easy for young children to play along - screeching with Gritch the witch, helping Gritch decide where to find a pig and laughing at the reference to Old McDonald.
"Hiccup"
by Mercer Mayer
Level: Preschool
Two Hippos take a boat ride-first the lady gets the hiccups then the man.
The book has two words- Hiccup and Boo. Our four year old is now
reading the book to us and telling us the story.
Its an old book copyright 1976 first published in 1946 by The Dial Press
but it is an adorable little book.
