This book is your guide to taking a bird walk right in your own back yard! With it you can learn how to sight field marks, learn where birds live, what they eat and even what to do if you find an injured bird.  On each page there are sidebars with interesting facts, funny stories, project ideas and other useful information. Throughout the book, there are helpful instructions and forms to record field notes and observations from your bird walk. There are also bird ID pages with color photos and a brief bio on several common backyard birds.

Take a Backyard Bird Walk would be an excellent, fun and educational project for you and your kids this summer.
