Try some unit studies this summer. If you've been afraid to veer from your curriculum and try a unit study, the summer would be a good trim to get a feel for it.

- Down in the Ocean
A study about the ocean for younger children. - Mini Units
Learn about ice cream and have fun with the activities. - Pirates
A two-week study with lots of hands-on learning activities. - Unit Study Directory
Free unit studies to explore a topic. - Whales
A study of whales for grades 2-5, but can be adapted for other levels.
