Mission Statement:
Kingston Home Learners (KHL) is a non-profit, dynamic,
inclusive network of families from diverse backgrounds who are taking primary responsibility for the education of their children and celebrate the many different approaches to learning at home or elsewhere. We are actively committed to providing a variety of fun, interesting and enriching educational opportunities and resources for our members of all ages.
Composition:
Homeschooling families in Kingston, Ontario and the surrounding areas.
Fees:
No membership fees, although there may be costs associated with
participating in particular classes, clubs, field trips or activities.
Application Procedure and Requirements:
Our membership application form can be found on our web site. Members are asked to "give back" to the group by planning a minimum of one activity for the group per year.
Membership Benefits:
Access to a wide range of homeschooling activities, e-mail updates, local discounts, friends and a whole lot of fun!
Meetings:
Get-togethers take place throughout the week. ie. Family Learning Centre activities, enrichment classes, parent nights, special events, and field trips.
