Elmore County Homeschool Organization

Vision/Purpose: We seek to provide a positive socialization environment for homeschooled children and to furnish a forum for support and encouragement to their parents in the homeschooling process. We also welcome those who are thinking about homeschooling.
Religious Affiliation: Christian, but open to all
Composition: Parents and children in the counties of Elmore, Autauga, Montgomery of Alabama. Most of our activities are geared to kids in 8th grade and younger and their parents.
Fees: None. Membership is free!
Application Procedure and Requirements: Fill out a Membership Form to be added to our Membership Roster and to receive our monthly e-mail newsletter (postal mailed for those without email).
Membership Benefits: Kids' Club for older kids, monthly field trips, Book Reports and Show & Tell, two weekly PE Co-ops, yearbook, homeschool band, monthly Parents' Discussions on practical homeschool topics, resource lending library of over 200 books, and many more programs.
Meetings: We meet on the first and third Friday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon at Mt. Hebron West Baptist Church in Elmore.
Introduction/Welcome Message: Our meetings provide practical support for parents while our children participate in supervised activities and playtime. Get to know your fellow homeschoolers while your children make some homeschooled friends!
