A reader asked how to explain what homeschooling is when it often looks nothing like school. That's a tough question. But at some point most families have to explain what their kids have really learned to a school, a college, or just friends and neighbors.
Many homeschoolers also worry about what "counts" and what doesn't. Many homeschoolers will tell you that practically everything counts, and I agree. As I've said before, you can't stop kids from learning, even when there's no "teaching" going on. Every experience a child has goes into the mix, and helps determine who they will be when they grow up.
If you've been wondering about this question, I've just written an article that shows you How to Describe Homeschooling.
What do you think? Should everything count as homeschooling?
