Martin Luther King PrintablesMartin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. He was a charismatic civil rights leader and Baptist minister who campaigned against the segregation of African Americans. It was the 1963 March on Washington where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech.

Because his birthday is so close to the holiday season, we celebrate it on the 3rd Monday in January. This move was made to help the holiday get approved. Learn more with these Martin Luther King Printables.

I really like being homeschooled. It’s a whole lot better than public schools, because you learn more, and if I went to a regular school, I wouldn’t even know my parents.

Carly,

Wow! I am happy you enjoy being homeschooled so much. It is unfortunate that you have been mislead into thinking you “learn more” and wouldn’t “know” your parents if you were in a public school. I am thrilled you enjoy being with your parents, but don’t assume, that others don’t “know” theirs! Good luck in you education and keep up the good work.

For those who have not yet heard this song on the radio, I’ll share it with you here.
If you need a song to put you in the right spirit for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, may I suggest this one?

Mrs. Curell,

Wow! I am happy that you enjoy teaching so much. It is unfortunate that you assume that Carly has been “mislead” into her beliefs. I am thrilled that you enjoy your teaching work, but don’t assume that Carly’s opinion was formed as a result of being deceived or deluded. Good luck in your own education (perhaps you could pay a little more attention to spelling and punctuation?) and keep up the good work.
