From the mailbag: November Kindness Calendar

"I am interested in finding an activity calendar that can be used starting November 1st---through the month of November, for example, with suggestions of what you can do in the community and in your home, to show love, doing for others, show your thankfulness and blessings---can you help me find one?"

I think this is a great idea! I suggest that you make your own so that you can tailor it to meet your schedule and surroundings. Using the November Coloring Calendar, you can write in the activities that you plan to do or even record the deeds as you do them. The Random Acts of Kindness site has Monthly Kindness Calendars that you can gather ideas for your calendar.

My homeschooled grandkids are going to “adopt” people from a nursing home. They’ll write letters and sendcards to establish a relationship. Then, we’ll meet and get to know their “person” by visiting them…and work up to setting up a dance performance by my granddaughters’ dance school for the residents.

There are few so lonely as residents in a nursing home and it’s so easy to find ways to perform simple kindnesses for them.
