Pfc. Bowe R. Bergdahl was homeschooled

Monday July 20, 2009
Pfc. Bowe R. Bergdahl, the soldier being held captive in Afghanistan, comes from a small town in Idaho where he was homeschooled by his parents. My heart breaks for the Bergdahl family. The family issued a statement asking people to keep Pfc. Bowe R. Bergdahl in their thoughts and prayers, but are asking for people to respect their privacy. Please pray for the safe and prompt return of this young man and peace and comfort for the family.

How ironic I “accidently found this site”. The past 1-2 weeks I had been researching for sites where I would be able to leave a message for Pfc. Bowe R. Bergdahl & his family to let them know
they were in my thoughts & Prayers. I do understand the family’s
wish for privacy. I simply wanted them to be aware they are not
alone; although I am sure that at this time they feel very alone. I awoke one night at approximately 3AM (the footage of Pfc. Bowe
Bergdahl being aired)… I felt an “overwhelming feeling of sadness
for him & his loved ones.” I know this is probably very little consolation at the current time. I will continue to pray for “Bowe’s”
safe and prompt return. “If God brings it to us; He will get us through it.” “Bowe” & Family will remain in my Prayers.

Former President Clinton just came back from N. Korea after procuring the release of two reporters who worked for Al Gore…
Millions of dollars and all the strings that can be pulled were pulled for them, where is the whitehouse efforts for this good young man.
Where is the media concern?

I pray for the safety and freedom of Bowe, and for his poor mother. As a mother of a Marine myself, my heart goes out to her.
God bless.

Thank you for your blog on this young solider captured. My niece, 19 years old then, was stationed in Afghanistan at the beginning of the Iraq war. I ran to church to cry & pray the day I heard she was being shipped out.

The Lord is reminding me everyday to pray for PFC Bowe Bergdahl & his family back home. My prayers are always with our fellow Americans serving in uniform during wartime efforts.

We need to take Ling’s & Lee’s secured release by President Clinton as an encouragement that the right leaders are doing all they can behind the scenes to bring PFC Bergdahl home too. I remember the long wait with no news when the first military men & women were captured in Iraq. The rescue had to be kept secret. I pray the same type of rescue mission is planned for not only PFC Bergdahl but the hiker’s detained in Iran.

Thanks again for your blog.
