Martin Luther King, Jr. Printables

Friday January 4, 2008
Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. Because his birthday is so close to the holiday season, we celebrate it on the 3rd Monday in January. This move was made to help the holiday get approved.

I really like being homeschooled. It’s a whole lot better than public schools, because you learn more, and if I went to a regular school, I wouldn’t even know my parents.

Carly,

Wow! I am happy you enjoy being homeschooled so much. It is unfortunate that you have been mislead into thinking you “learn more” and wouldn’t “know” your parents if you were in a public school. I am thrilled you enjoy being with your parents, but don’t assume, that others don’t “know” theirs! Good luck in you education and keep up the good work.

For those who have not yet heard this song on the radio, I’ll share it with you here.
If you need a song to put you in the right spirit for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, may I suggest this one?
