Friday Homeschool News Headlines
Friday October 28, 2005
Here's some pleasant reading for a Friday afternoon.
- Home-schoolers set own education (The Daily Tar Heel) I enjoyed this article, especially the part about "refrigerator science" - I probably have a few specimens of my own.
Even ordinary household chores, such as cleaning out the refrigerator, can become learning opportunities. This week, one day’s lesson plan included “refrigerator science,” where the twins examined food items underneath a microscope.
- Investigating the myths and the facts... (LookSmart Education) This one is an article from the summer and other than misspelling homeschooling in the title and being extremely long, it's pretty good reading (or skimming).
